Family Enrichment Program
The "Family Enrichment" program for families at risk is sponsored by the English Catholic Education Foundation and the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board. The English Catholic Education Foundation receives funding for the Child Care Resource part of the program to hire a Family Coordinator, a Volunteer Coordinator and three Early Childhood Educators who works with the children and 80 volunteers.
For the Family
- Support, guidance and education in a warm and positive environment
- Opportunities for both parent and child to socialize with their peers
- Contact with other services in the community
- Transportation to and from the Program

- A clothing exchange depot

For the Parent
- High school credits (adult education) in Family Studies, Personal Life Management and Guidance
- Assistance when stressed by inadequate physical, social and personal resources
- Knowledge of normal child development and care
- An environment for peer, parent, child, staff and volunteer interaction
- Child management through role modeling and education
- Positive parenting
For the Child
- Infant and preschool enrichment programs, using a high ratio of volunteers
- An individual approach in assisting with all areas of development
- Nutritious snacks
- Breakfast program
- Access to outdoor playground equipment and gymnasium
There is no charge for this program. All services are free!
